About the Picture Above

Bluebonnets

The bluebonnet wildflowers are the state flower of Texas.

The header picture (above) of the bluebonnets is extracted from this one I took on the B3 ranch, southeast of San Antonio,  when my Uncle Leroy owned it a few years ago. The bluebonnet wildflowers are the state flower of Texas.

I have heard on expert authority that Mesquite trees are not native to Texas, and that they came originally from Spain. But I can’t seem to find any reference to that fact now, so I’m not sure. At any rate, they now cover large areas of South and Central Texas.

The header picture is cropped from near the bottom of this photograph and doubled in width to fit. I am looking for additional pictures to rotate with this one.

Thanks for stopping by.

Lots of fascinating stuff. Highly opinionated.
